To better help you understand "Anne Frank" your assignment is to research and create an oral report to present in class. You will handwrite (front and back) a one page minimum report to turn in along with preparing a visual aid for your presentation. Mrs. Schroeder will give you the date for when this project is due.

WORLD WAR II & THE HOLOCAUST
To better understand "The Diary of Anne Frank", you must first have a working knowledge of World War II and the Holocaust. Below are nine areas of study that you will give your presentations on.
1. Concentration Camps
2. Germany: Why did it start the War?
3. "The Jewish Problem"
4. Axis vs. Allies
5. Nazi Ghettos
6. Major events in the Holocaust
7. Major people in World War II/Holocaust
8. The SS (Schutzstaffel), and the SA (Sturmabteilung or 'brown shirts') and the Gestapo
9. Other victims of the Holocaust

You must have at least THREE sources for your report and list them at the end of the report. On the right side of this website, I've listed some starter sources that may be helpful to you. To get started, think of some of the questions below each topic to guide your research on the subject you are assigned.
